"I started selling bearings at the market in 1998," recalled Zhang Baozhong, general manager of Huagong Bearings. At that time, the bearing industry was mainly focused on refurbishment, and the young Zhang Baozhong followed in his father's footsteps, learning the ropes of the bearing business in the market. It wasn't until 2008 that he decided to build his own factory and embark on the path of true manufacturing. The start was difficult, with limited funds and insufficient experience, but Zhang Baozhong keenly sensed that the market was quietly changing.
Between 2011 and 2012, with the wave of machine tool upgrades, the precision requirements for bearing processing increased significantly. Zhang Baozhong realized that the company had to upgrade its equipment and improve its processes in order to survive in market competition.
"This is a large-scale, high-end precision equipment that we invested tens of millions of yuan to introduce, which is specifically used for the production of high-end products such as new energy bearings and wind power bearings." Despite the huge financial pressure at the time, Zhang Baozhong firmly believed: "In order to adapt to the national market and even the international market, we must move forward."
The equipment upgrade has brought HGLaser not only increased production capacity but also revolutionized its production model. Previously, one person operated one or two machine tools; now, on the automated production line, one person can manage four to five machines. Production efficiency has increased by 35%, energy consumption has significantly decreased, and overall profitability has increased by 40%. More importantly, automated production greatly reduces damage from impacts during processing, enabling bearings to achieve a new level of precision and stability.
The growth of Huagong Bearings is also inseparable from the support of the local government. The Linqing Municipal Party Committee and Government have organized numerous study tours for the company, providing tangible assistance in management and finance, injecting confidence and momentum into the company's development.
Looking to the future, Zhang Baozhong has a clear vision: strengthen R&D investment, promote talent recruitment, continuously upgrade equipment, and plan to achieve full 5G coverage throughout the factory, creating a truly intelligent factory.
