HGF Bearing: What is the ceiling for Chinese-made bearings?
"What is the upper limit for Chinese-made bearings?" When faced with this question, Fu Liang, Operations Director at HGF Bearing, did not beat around the bush; he immediately cited two figures: 2,000 millimeters—the maximum outer diameter of bearings the company can manufacture—and 1 to 2 micrometers—the precision maintained throughout the machining process, a level of accuracy dozens of times finer than a human hair. "In short, we focus on just two things: ultra-large dimensions and ultra-high precision," Fu said.
Where are such massive, high-precision bearings primarily used? They are mainly applied in the wind power and lithium-ion battery rolling mill sectors—industries that long relied on imports for these components. "We have a single goal: through specialized optimization of everything from materials to structural design, to replace renowned international products and achieve domestic substitution."

Returning to the question posed at the beginning, Fu Liang said: "Where is the ceiling for Chinese-made bearings? Our answer lies not in the blueprints, but in the workshop—in our own hands. Replacing imports is a path HGF has been pursuing all along."
